Character Motifs Overview

Shared Sub Motifs:

Rain / Water - Commitment as something you let fall on you rather than to avoid. Accumulation. Flow vs Stagnation.

Falling - An irreversible act that can happen unexpectedly or through acceptance. Sometimes, you need to let yourself fall and take a risk.

Hands - How each character’s gesturing of their hands show their willingness to reach towards others. Rain has his hand open for yearning, but is later reframed to be open to accepting others and giving his support. Vesper has his hand reached towards as if he wants to adjust something, almost a little controlling.

Character Specific Motifs

Rain

Ghost internal voice vs Clone deflection - Ghost is Rain’s inner true want from his Dreamer trait; constantly uses the Clone to pretend to feel like he has done action

Vesper

Glass - Vesper’s view on memory. A fragile piece of a person that can be extracted to reform/shape them into a “better” person.

Roxana

Small fire/flame - Roxana’s want to continue fighting in spite of her actual strength/power being weak. Shines within the darkness in spite of the dimming of her own light

Claire

Noise vs Silence - Claire’s overthinking intrusive mind vs the peace of certainty. Commitment quiets the noise temporarily.
